Support Us

Our work depends entirely on funds raised through fund-raising events and donations from individuals and organisation. No matter how little you can donate it will make a difference to the children we serve.

Many individuals and staff of organisations hold their own fundraising events and we have flyers and information to support you should you wish to do this.

You can be assured that we take our role as Trustees of Tumaini Homes of Hope very seriously and can guarantee that donations are used effectively and efficiently. We operate through a Board of Trustees and a working group, overseen by a UK Trustee in Kenya. The working Group is made up of long term supporters and professionals who bring local knowledge and expertise to the projects. The finances for all our projects are now controlled solely within the UK. This model of working ensures that we have tight financial control: transparent finance systems and rigorous accountability.

If you wish to give money directly then please make sure that you obtain a receipt at the time of your donation. The Tumaini Homes of Hope charity in the UK is a registered charity with the Charity Commission of England and Wales and takes no responsibility for donations given directly to the Home or any other UK charity working on behalf of the Home.

We look forward to donations towards our projects and don’t forget that if you donate to us here in the UK we can reclaim 25p in every pound you give, via Gift Aid.

WE CAN NOT SEND GIFTS TO THE HOME OR TO ANY OF THE CHILDREN WHOM WE SUPPORT, AS WE CAN’T GUARANTEE THAT THE PARCELS WILL ACTUALLY GET TO THEIR DESTINATION. HOWEVER, WE CAN SEND MONEY TO SUPPORT ANY OF THESE PROJECTS AND YOU, THE DONOR, CAN SPECIFY WHERE YOU WANT YOUR DONATION SPENT.

If you wish to give money directly then please make sure that you obtain a receipt at the time of your donation. If you purchase items for the home – food, electrical items, sweets etc., keep the receipt as your proof of purchase.
